With a general lack of fish coming to pole tactics Tom topped a string of feeder weights fishing to the island to just pip in a close finish.
Well done men.
In light of the very sad news received during the match a minutes silence was observed prior to the results for John Parkinson. He will be sorely missed.

Another wind battered reservoir with considerable undertow. Cheers storm Dave !!
The majority of fish came from the farm bank with the roadside being poor again.
Nige C was one of the few who persisted with the pole, although managing 9 metres was still an endurance test.
Feeding maggot over groundbait he put together a mainly Roach net for a comfortable win.
Well done Nige.

With a very cold morning and bright conditions following Saturdays open match the fishing was every bit as hard as expected.
Barry continued where he left off last weekend with another win.
The majority of his fish came on his long line with expanders over micros. Mainly F1s with the odd bonus carp.
Well done Barry.

A lovely day to be out with good sized carp seen spawning all around the lake.
Recent reports of good nets of mixed species had hopes up for a good day.
However, it proved to be a difficult day at the office for most , especially when early cloud cover disappeared.
Highlight of the day was undoubtedly Gary's 13-8-0 Common that took a liking to his paste presented close in. He added Crucians and Skimmers to take a very comfortable win.
Well done Gary.

Although Tench had been feeding well around the lake in the run up , it was Rudd , Roach and Perch in the main making up the weights.
The shallower end of the pond fished better on the day although bites still tailed off quickly in the bright conditions.
Nigel Collis made the most of the opening period , catching silvers shallow on the pole to lift the trophy and repeat his 2025 success.
Well done Nige and framers.

Groundhog day !!
Another trophy win for Gary employing his favourite paste method.
With bright hot conditions he had to go to 16mtrs to the central island to catch , alternating with the margins to net a mixture of F1s and carp to win by a comfortable margin on a difficult day.
Well done Gary.

Gin clear water and didn't bode well for good sport and it proved to be a very tough match.
Roach refused to settle over feed and we're very quick to back off.
Mark worked 4.5 and 6 mtr whips with maggot over groundbait from his peg on the deep corner to record what was a comfortable win in a small fish match.
Well done Mark.

Winning pair
Terry Crosby & Nigel Ripley 12 points.
The reservoir fished much better than many anticipated today despite the lack of colour resulting in an average of around 10lb per man.
Tom fished the pole shallow at 11mtrs loose feeding maggot over initial groundbait to take Roach , Skimmers and Perch to top the individual results. Well done Tom.
On the Pairs front Terry Crosby didn't let a lack of Roach deter him with a mainly Skimmer net on the pole taking the maximum 7 points on the road bank.
Coupled with my 5 points on the Tree bank it was just enough to beat Tom and Sam's 11 points.

Bream , Chub and Perch made up the weights.
Phil set his stall out for the Bream attacking his peg with the groundbait feeder and worm to land 8 around the 3lb mark to take the win. Well done Phil.

Barry fished the pole at 12 metres and kept the Ide and Roach feeding with 5 pints of maggots to take the win over Steve who fished similar tactics.
Well done men.
Dave Jobson memorial match.
The forecast was a moderate breeze . Which for the derwent means you can’t stand up.
Anyway despite the conditions the pow hill area fished well with plenty of proper roach caught , with a few perch. Not too many pike ambushes either.
Well done to the winner Mal Wilkinson catching steadily throughout for an impressive 20lb 06 oz . All on the groundbait feeder with caster and maggot hook bait.
1st place Mal Wilkinson 20lb 6oz.
Section 1-5 Phil rippon 15 lb.
section 6-9 Tommy Marshall 12lb 14oz .

As the weights suggest it was a very tight match yesterday.
Bright , flat calm conditions following the venues festival made for tricky fishing.
Plenty of bites for all but putting runs of fish together proved difficult with numerous foulhookers.
Most nets were made up of small F1s and Carp , however George managed to find a few better samples on pole and corn to lift the trophy - see photos - fish only , George is camera shy 😄
Well done George.
Fish of the day has to go to Steve Knowles with a Sturgeon taking a liking to his worm and maggot cocktail.
